Gingerbread Cheesecake Dip: 25g Protein Party Bowl
Picture the holiday party. You are in the outfit you actually wanted to wear, not the one that hides the most, and you are not spending the night hovering by the cheese board trying not to look at it. You brought the bowl everyone is crowded around, and you are eating from it too, because it was built for you. This gingerbread cheesecake dip tastes like the inside of a gingerbread cheesecake, takes 5 minutes to mix and 20 minutes to chill, and carries 25 grams of protein a serving.
Why a Protein Cheesecake Dip Works for Fat Loss
Party food is not the problem. Arriving hungry, picking at everything for three hours, and then deciding the whole day is a loss on the drive home is the problem. When the dessert on the table is one you can eat without math anxiety, the night stops being a test. You fill a small plate once, you enjoy it, and you go back to the conversation.
The numbers make that possible. A typical cheesecake dip is full-fat cream cheese and powdered sugar, often 200-plus calories for a few spoonfuls with 2 or 3 grams of protein. This version is about 220 calories for a full serving of dip with 25 grams of protein.
It also helps on the days you came up short. Most women I coach land somewhere well below their protein target on a normal day, and party days are worse. If that sounds like you, read how much protein you actually need, then let this bowl close part of the gap.

Gingerbread Protein Cheesecake Dip Recipe
Protein 25g | Fat 9g | Carbs 10g per serving, about 220 calories, dip only (recipe makes 6 servings)
Prep: 5 minutes. Chill: 20 minutes. Adapted from Fitwaffle's high protein gingerbread cheesecake dip, scaled up to a party bowl and reworked for Prime Protein.
Ingredients
- 24 oz nonfat plain Greek yogurt
- 8 oz light cream cheese, softened
- 3 scoops Vanilla or Cinnamon Roll protein powder (I use Equip Prime Protein, 30% off with code COACHCAM)
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- Sprinkles for the top
- Dippers: apple slices, strawberries or mini gingerbread cookies (log the dippers)
Instructions
- Beat the softened cream cheese on its own until it is completely smooth.
- Add the Greek yogurt, protein powder, maple syrup, cinnamon and ginger, and whisk until it is one even, creamy color.
- If it looks loose, whisk in a few more spoonfuls of yogurt. Beef isolate sets a little thinner than whey, so a slightly thicker base helps.
- Chill for 20 minutes. Add the sprinkles right before serving and arrange the dippers around the bowl.
Macros are for the dip only, calculated for Prime Protein at 21 grams of protein a scoop, and will shift a little by flavor and brand. Log the bag you actually used, and log your dippers.
What Makes the Macros Work
The Greek yogurt carries most of the protein and gives the dip its thick, cheesecake-filling body. The three scoops of protein powder add the rest and sweeten it, which is why the whole bowl only needs a single tablespoon of maple syrup. Light cream cheese is the low-fat swap. You keep the tang that makes it taste like cheesecake for a fraction of the fat in the full-fat version. The flavor trick is the ginger. Cinnamon alone tastes like a cinnamon roll. Cinnamon and ginger together is what your brain reads as gingerbread.
Tips for a Thick, Smooth Dip
The cream cheese has to be soft before anything else goes in. Cold cream cheese leaves little white lumps that never whisk out. Leave it on the counter for 30 minutes, or microwave it for 10 seconds, and beat it alone first. Then add everything else. Do not skip the chill. Twenty minutes in the fridge is what takes it from a thick yogurt to a dip that holds on an apple slice. And add the sprinkles at the last minute. Put them on early and the colors bleed into the dip.
Swaps and Variations
Vanilla gives you a classic gingerbread cheesecake, and Cinnamon Roll pushes it toward a snickerdoodle. Salted Caramel turns it into a caramel apple dip, which is fantastic with Granny Smith slices. For a chocolate version, use Chocolate and a tablespoon of cocoa powder and drop the ginger. Want a deeper gingerbread flavor? Add a teaspoon of molasses and log it. Want it higher fat and richer? Use regular cream cheese instead of light. The dippers are where the carbs live. Apples and strawberries keep it light. Mini gingerbread cookies or pretzels make it a training-day plate. If you need it dairy free, use a dairy-free yogurt and cream cheese. Expect less protein per serving, and log what you used.
How to Fit It Into Your Day
One serving is a full protein serving, so treat it like one. At a party, fill a small plate once with dip and fruit and walk away from the table. It makes a great Thanksgiving dessert to bring on Thursday the 26th, because it leaves room for a slice of pie too. It also works as a 3pm snack at home: a portion of dip and an apple is a better afternoon than the bag of pretzels. At 10 grams of carbs and 9 grams of fat, it fits into almost any day.
Meal Prep Notes
Covered in the fridge, the dip keeps 3 to 4 days. If you are not serving it to a crowd, portion it into six small containers right after mixing and you have a ready-made protein snack for the week. Keep the sprinkles in a separate container until serving. Do not freeze it, the texture breaks when it thaws.
Here is the shift. The party was never the problem. Eating too little all day, then showing up starving and grazing for three hours, is the problem. Hit your protein, bring the bowl, and the night is just a night. If you want a coach to build your numbers around your real life, party season included, apply for coaching here.

This dip is built around Equip Prime Protein. It is a gut-friendly, dairy free, whole food sourced protein made from grass-fed beef isolate, with naturally occurring collagen and gelatin. No whey, no gluten, no soy. No gums. No sugar alcohols. No fake sweeteners. Nothing artificial, ever. Every flavor comes in a regular and a stevia-free version, and I buy stevia-free because I cannot stand the aftertaste. Vanilla or Cinnamon Roll is the flavor for this dip. Cinnamon Roll is my favorite in the whole lineup, and Peanut Butter, Chocolate Churro and Cookies and Cream round out what I always keep on the shelf.
